No. of Indexable Pages:
Indexable pages are those which must be examined to see if they contain content which should appear in the index.
These usually include: introductions, notes, addenda, illustrations and appendixes.
These usually exclude: title pages, dedications, tables of contents, synopses or abstracts at the beginning of articles or chapters, advertising, and similar items.
No. of Entries per page:
Count the number of concepts/terms/names on ten typical pages and divide by 10.
Enter Complexity Rating (0-10):
0 = Simple publication aimed at general public.
10 = Complex, abstruse work aimed at the specialist.
