To demonstrate that it is possible to have a fully-linked index on a Kindle, I have, for the Society of Indexers, formatted their book, Indexing children's books (Occasional Paper 5) by K.G.B. Bakewell and Paula L. Williams.

Download the book to your computer, by clicking on the link above, connect your Kindle using its USB cable, and then copy the file into the Documents folder on your Kindle. Eject the Kindle from your computer, and the book should appear on your Kindle's Home page.
